We are Cactus

Printed in Brisbane. Made by the same crew who ride, shoot and stay up too late putting it together. Support print, look good doing it.

cactus

/kaktəs/ noun

The plant
A creature of pure resilience. Found clinging to life in places most would call unlivable, the cactus doesn't scream for attention, it just persists. Spines instead of flowers, water stashed deep inside, it's the kind of plant that reminds you not everything worth admiring is obvious.
The slang
A uniquely Australian term, uttered between mates or under breath. 'Cactus' is what you say when something's had it. A busted rim, a crook back, a van that won't start, or some washed up BMXers making a magazine to stay relevant.
The magazine
As BMXers, we thrive in challenging circumstances and feed off determination and courage. We're resilient fools. The intention is to deliver regular, high quality BMX print which is aesthetically simple and broadly accessible, with many a nod to those who came before us.
Eight lime-tinted photos of the Cactus crew: riders airing a jump, riding a wall, grinding a stair rail and carving a bowl, plus a couple of grinning portraits.
